This is not a contest, just a great opportunity to show
visitors to our web site just how wonderful our PALS pets are!

name, your pet’s name, a brief pet bio and your e-mail address. Don’t
forget to include the facility where you and your pet volunteer.

like to feature as many of our furry volunteers as we can.

PEOPLE PLEASE.
- Remember, you are not allowed to take pictures
inside of the facility where you volunteer.
- Please ensure your pet is wearing their PALS
volunteer scarf in the photograph.
- Photos should be in jpeg format. Photos are not
returnable and will become the property of PALS.
- Please e-mail photos to:
petofthemonth@palspets.com
TIPS FOR PHOTOGRAPHING PETS:
- Special consideration for pet of the month will be
given to photos that capture the essence of specific holidays, as well
as portraits, humor and unusual snapshots.
- Avoid cluttered backgrounds.
- Natural light is best. It is important to give
black animals light from all sides to bring out their features and
detail.
- Try to avoid red or white reflective eyes.
- Try not to look down on your subject. Photograph
your pet on their level. Sit in the grass, lie on the floor, whatever
you need to do!
- Have favorite treats or toys nearby. Hold them up
to the camera to catch your pet’s attention and interest.
Remember you will need a lot of patience to get that
special look. Photographing your pet can be challenging, but also fun and
rewarding for both of you!
