ANIMAL RESCUE AND ADOPTION

Alberta Ferret Society
Rescue and education organization that specializes in ferrets.

Ferret Rescue & Education Society 
To enrich the lives of ferrets in our community through education, collaboration, communication, rehabilitation, and rescue.

A.R.F. (Animal Rescue Foundation)
Animal Rescue Foundation of Alberta (A.R.F.) rescues stray and abandoned dogs and cats and places them in loving permanent homes while providing programs to reduce pet over-population.

Calgary Humane Society
In addition to dogs and cats, there is info on all kinds of pets needing homes including birds, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs, iguanas and pigs. Also a Pet of the Week section.

Service Dogs
Information on dogs that assist the blind, deaf, disabled and elderly.  How they are trained, where to get them and a list of books for additional reading.

MEOW Foundation
Meow foundation facilitates the adoption of abandoned cats in the Calgary area with a no-kill mandate.

Read about Karma's journey as an orphaned kitten finding a loving home and becoming a cat volunteer with PALS.  Good information on how to bring a new pet into a multi pet home.
